Opening of the watercolor exhibition of artist Irena Meištaitė (in the Exhibition Hall)

I. Meištaitė is a painter who has developed a large-format painting technique using the classical watercolor technique. Having started with still lifes with flowers, she now mostly paints landscapes that are characterized by lightness, compositional clarity, and harmony.

Since 1984, she has participated in group exhibitions – Lithuanian, Baltic and international, and was a participant in the World Samogitian Exhibition (2007). In 1997, she organized her first personal watercolor exhibition. Her works are in the Utena Museum of Local Lore, the Samogitian Art Museum and private collections in Lithuania, France, Luxembourg, Canada, Spain, Belgium, and Germany. I. Meištaitė is a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union and the artists' club "Plekšnė".
