Aldona Ruseckaitė's creative evening

Aldona Ruseckaitė is a poet, prose writer, and museologist.

She graduated from Vilnius University with a degree in Lithuanian Studies. She made her debut as a poet in the anthology of women's poetry from the Prienai region "Native Streams". She worked at the "Liteks" factory, the S. Žukas Applied Arts Technical School, the LSSR Literature Museum (now the Maironis Lithuanian Literature Museum), and from 1989 to 2019 she was its director. Since 1993, A. Ruseckaitė has been the Dean of the Faculty of Literature of the University of the Third Age, a member of the International Council of Museums, was the Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Museums Association, a member of the Board of the Lithuanian Museums Association (1995–2008; 2010–2019), a long-time member of the Museum Expert Commission of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, a member of the Museums Council, a member of the Kaunas Culture and Art Council, and the Dean of the Faculty of Creative Expression of the University of the Third Age. Since 2019 – Honorary Member of the Lithuanian Museums Association. Member of the Lithuanian Writers' Union – since 1999.

Aldona Ruseckaitė's biography includes over 20 books: poems, short stories, essays, novels. The most widely read novels are about Lithuanian writers – Maironis, Žemaitė, Vytautas Mačernis, Salomėja Nėris, Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas, Ona Pleirytė-Puidienė-Vaidilutė.
