Gedrimai Spring – gushes in the village of Gedrimai, Ylakiai eldership. Gedrimai Spring is a natural heritage site protected by Skuodas District Municipality.
The spring water flows from sand lenses, sinking in the silty deposits of the pre-glacial lake, which, in turn, cover layers of glacial loam several tens of meters thick. The spring is formed due to limited groundwater discharge in the stream flowing below. Generations of the Vindašiai family remember that this spring has been gushing for centuries. The spring and its territory are protected and maintained by the descendants of the neighboring Vindašiai homestead. Local residents also call the spring the Vindašiai spring.
