"Since time immemorial, our ancestors, the Baltic tribes, in order to defend their families, nation, and later the state, used their own methods of warfare and had weapons for that purpose. Over time, the weapons, clothing, and fighting techniques and tactics of the enemies had a great influence on the evolution of weapons. The weapons used for military purposes improved, and the methods of fighting also changed using new, improved weapons. Each army improved its weapons, studied, copied weapons seen in battle or taken from the enemy, whose properties were superior to the properties of the weapons they had, re-learned them, and continued to use them for their intended purpose."

"My personal collection of edged weapons and the exhibition "Never Give Up" are like a constant reminder that we must always fight to the end."
